Taxi and ride-share services are often not available in Pecos. Even if services like Uber and Lyft will bring you here, it can be very difficult to secure a ride out. Please ensure you have a departure plan in place before being dropped off at Pecos.

The grounds of Pecos National Historical Park are open daily from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The park is not open on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Years Day. See below for visitor center hours.

The Glorieta Pass Battlefield Tour takes visitors to Windmill Hill and Artillery Hill. These were important locations on March 28th, 1862, the third day of the Battle of Glorieta Pass. On March 26th, elements from both the Union and Confederate forces met in battle at Apache Canyon, The site of this first day of battle is inaccessible to the public. Please start your tour by stopping at the E.E. Fogelson Visitor Center for a map.
