National Historic Site · DC

A street unlike any other. It is known the world over as the heart of the Nation's Capital. America's history has marched, paraded, promenaded, and protested its way along the Avenue.
NP Tracker keeps a record of every National Park Service unit you visit — all 430-plus of them. Log visits with dates and photos, collect passport stamps, plan trips, and watch your map fill in. It's free.
The Pennsylvania Avenue National Historic Site is always open to the public (except for special events like Presidential Inaugurations and State Funerals). There are no Rangers on duty at this site (except for special events). The United States Park Police are on duty 24 hours a day.
Hours are retrieved from the National Park Service and can change without notice — check the official site before you go.
Black History is American History, even if the statues and memorials in Washington, D.C. may not always reflect it. Pennsylvania Avenue, America's Main Street, is rich with locations where African Americans upheld the nation's ideals and made important contributions to the ongoing effort to create a more perfect union.
No entrance fee.
